I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

But He answered, "You give them something to eat." Mark 6:37 NIV
Okay, you know the story, but let me describe the setting. Thousands of people have come to see Jesus. He had compassion on them; healed their sick; taught them many things of God. Now the people are hungry. The disciples advised Jesus to send the people away so they could buy food.
Now, Jesus says to His minister-trainees: "You give them something to eat!"
I can almost hear the disciples:
"Well, uh, Jesus, that would be okay, except, that, well, that would be impossible, you see, 'cause, well, like, we don't have enough food for all these people."
Jesus feeds the people and the people are satisfied......until it's time to eat again!
Let me ask you a question: Don't you think Jesus knew how much food they had? Of course He did! Then, why did He tell the disciples to feed them?
Do you think maybe He was encouraging them to "Feed His sheep"? That's what He told Peter to do. That's what the Great Commission calls each of us to do. That's why the church is here today!
Perhaps Jesus was preparing His disciples for a day when He would go to be with the Father, and they would be left to do His will!
Is anyone you know "hungry" today? Perhaps He would say to you and I, "You give them something to eat!"
Think about it!
