I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman

Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. Ephesians 6:24 NIV

I believe Paul is helping to separate the haves from the have nots. Do you love Him, or do you not?

Theological debate has always been among some of my fellow Christians. The issue is over salvation. What is required? There is no debate that salvation is by belief alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 makes this clear, as does John 3:16, Acts 16:31 and Romans 10:9. We aren’t saved by what we do, we are saved by believing in the One, namely Jesus Christ, who has paid it all! Period. Jesus answered the question of what do I do by saying: “Believe in the One He has sent!”

The question is what does this belief look like. If someone says “I believe”, but never evidences that belief with a life of love and honor to Christ, did they really obey what the Bible tells us to do? Did they really believe? I can say I believe in the tooth ferry, but do I believe in her enough to put a tooth under my pillow?

Just to let you know where I am at, it is my opinion that when a person genuinely believes that Jesus is who He claims to be, the One true Son of God who lived a perfect life, died on a Cross, and rose again, I think a change occurs in that person. I don’t think that person will ever be the same again. I think that person will have an inner desire to please God. I think, when that person comes near the end of their life, he still believe. He will still, hopefully even more, love the Lord who saved him! That’s what I believe the Bible calls “belief”.

Do you have that kind of undying love for Jesus? Have you believed in Him in that way? Dear friend, make sure today, but if that's your story; rest easy in the salvation that has saved you and don't fear again your secure place in Heaven!
