I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
WISDOM
By: Ron Edmondson Thursday, January 29, 1998
He who trusts in himself is a fool. But he who walks in wisdom is kept safe. Proverbs 28:26 NIV

Are you a fool? Whew, I'm glad technology won't yet allow you to punch me through the computer. The Bible says that if you trust in your own ability, then you are a fool! I didn't make it up, read it for yourself! I didn't say it, God did!

Now I know you can do a lot of things for yourself. You are smart. I'm sure statistics would show that most internet users are of above average intelligence. (that would be an interesting study) You are familiar with the ways of the world. You have knowledge, perhaps degrees. You have experience in life that has taught you valuable lessons. You're a bright person!

But if you are trusting in self to get you through life, God says you are a fool! End of discussion.

God also says though that those who seek wisdom are kept safe; they prosper. Wisdom, unlike knowledge, comes only from God. Knowledge is what you can receive at Harvard. Wisdom is what you receive as a gift from the Holy Spirit.

Don't be a fool! Walk in wisdom! Seek God and all His ways and follow Him all the days of your life.

You may not receive a fancy piece of paper, but you will be safe from the dangers of an eternal Hell!

Frame that!
