I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Unbelief
By: Ron Edmondson Monday, September 29, 1997
Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe. Help me overcome my unbelief!" Mark 9:24 NIV

Do you have any unbelief? Sure, you say, "Ron, I believe in God." "I even believe in Jesus." Some may say, "I believe Christ is my only way to Heaven." or "I believe what the Bible says about Creation." You, like this father have some belief, but, do you, as he did, have unbelief?

No, you are tempted to say? Do you believe that God is going to do everything He says He will? Sure, you say? Well, let me ask you then: Do you always live that way? Does every action you take reveal that kind of faith? I guess that means you never worry....after all God is going to assist you because He cares for you (that's what the Bible says). I guess that means you never try anything on your own, but always allow God to work His plan through you? (the Bible says apart from Him you can do nothing.) I guess that means you never fear when the checkbook gets low, because you know your Heavenly Father will feed you. (He feeds the birds of the air, and aren't you much more valuable than they?) So, do you still say you have no unbelief?

Heavenly Father, help us, though we have some belief, some faith, some expectation that you are who you say you are, help us dear God, to overcome our unbelief! Grant us the ability to trust you on a deeper level...even today! And give us victory in our attempt to overcome our sin of unbelief! In Jesus name, AMEN AND AMEN!

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
