When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it."
Genesis 28:16 NIV
Jacob had been asleep. God spoke to him in a dream. When he woke up, he realized God was with him all along.
Has that ever happened to you? You feel as though you are all alone. No one understands. No one cares. Life's problems are bigger than your ability to cope with them. You are tempted to give up, and then the Lord comes through again. You realize He was in the middle of the problem all the time.
It is always easier to trust God looking back. It is much harder to trust God for what is still to come. When you and I face the really tough situations of life, sometimes we ignore the promises of God in exchange for our own sense of self sufficiency. We later discover that we are, in and of ourselves, not strong or wise enough to solve our own problems. Then we turn to the Lord who is always there, and placing our faith in completely in Him, He parts the sea, breaks the bread, and calms the storm, producing His miracles in our life once again.
As I thought about this fact this morning, I couldn't help but think: Wouldn't it be easier, as we begin our day, to realize God is with us, allow Him to order our steps, deliver us from each storm, and wait for His glory to be displayed through the victory in our life?
Just a thought.

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
