He died for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. Galatians 1:4 NLT
Notice the phrase in today’s verse “this evil world in which we live”. That could possibly be recognized as the single greatest answer as to why we face painful trials. We live in an evil world. This world is fallen from the state in which God created it to be. When sin entered the world, the world became broken and trials became a normal part of it’s existence.
We will look during this series at what God does with trials in our life, because He truly does “work all things for good”, but the fact is that trials mostly come because of the world in which we live. The good news is that this world is not our home. Our home is in Heaven and one day all the trials will be over for those who have chosen to believe in Jesus Christ.
If you are a child of God, be of good cheer today, even through the trials, even living in an evil world, because God is not going to leave you here. One day your trials too will end. God's going to rescue us from this fallen world! “Oh what a day that will be, when my Jesus I will see; when He leads me by the hand and takes me to the Promise Land. Oh what a day, glorious day that will be.”
