I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. James 1:2 NLT
Please understand that I am not claiming that I have reached the fulfillment of this verse. I don’t know that I am at a place in my spiritual life where I am letting trials “be an opportunity for joy”. I may be a long way from that as a reality in my life.
I am, however, beginning to see the value of trials. When I review my life over the last 15 years I see lots of trials. Some of those trials have caused the worst days of my life. There have been times when I didn’t think I could continue with life as it was at the time. If I were to be reminded of certain events in my life the horrible feelings could quickly return. Considering those trials, and the after effects of them, I can clearly see that God has used those times to strengthen my faith, mold my character, and make me more fitted for eternity. In the seminary of life God has schooled my spirit with trials.
Dear friend, what are you going through today? Has life got you down? Are you struggling to see your way through life? Stop for just a moment and take your eyes off the trial. Place your faith and trust more securely in the person of Jesus Christ. Look at your trial through Heaven’s view. Realize that this life will one day be over and that you will be more prepared for the glory ahead. Your trial will mold you if you will simply surrender your will to God and hold tight to His grace and power.
