As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive you allotted inheritance. Daniel 12:13 NIV
Keep on! The prophet is trying to tell you to keep on the course! Your future is secure you children of God! God will not let history lead to nothing! Lift up your heads; redemption draweth nigh!
A new year is here! How many times have you heard, "I wonder if this year will pass as quick as last year?"? Time is clicking away. Each day that passes is a day closer to eternity. One day, one moment, at any time...there will be a clap, a trumpet sound, and we shall be changed! We will be caught up together in the air with Jesus! He will grab us by the hand and lead us to Gloryland. The angels will be rejoicing and singing, praising God with the highest of praise.
The throne room of God will be filled with the fragrance of our prayers. I suspect there may be "Welcome Home" banners all across the room with your name and mine. God will be seated on the Throne of Justice. Every knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father.
The proud Father will graciously tell us to sit down. The sun will be needed no more as we bask in the light of His majesty. The Creator will order the angels to sit us at the banquet table and we will delight in the refreshments of Heaven. The music will play in perfect tune as the melody of praise fills our hearts. We will worship in peace the King of Kings...and we will giggle at the idea that we have just begun! (Eternity is a very long time.)
God has a wonderful plan for His children. Each day of this year that passes, especially those you wish would pass a little faster, remember my friend, God is not wasting one minute. Your day will come to receive your inheritance.
Wait patiently! It's almost here!
