I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:17-18
.......and though the bird feeder falls to the ground, yet I will whistle to my Lord, I will be joyful in God my Creator! (Okay, I added that part, but it fits.)
Those of you who have received my thoughts for very long have read about the bird paradise I have in my backyard. We love to watch the birds eating and playing. Many mornings I awake to the pleasant sounds of bird talk. In addition to birds, we have lots of squirrels, and that is where today's story begins.
Our squirrels like bird food, too, and they will go to any extreme to get it. Last week the squirrels chewed through the rope which held up our bird feeder, and the feeder crashed to the ground. We have yet to replace it.
Guess what? The next morning, and every morning since, our birds have still awoken me with their pleasant morning songs. They still rejoice! What's the deal? Their primary source of food is gone. How do they know where their next meal will come from? How can they be so unconcerned?
"and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" (Matt. 6:26)
Through it all today, R E J O I C E ! ! !
