I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You
by
Steven Curtis Chapman
Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. Psalms 39:12
The reason God will hear your prayers and see your tears; the reason He will catch them and collect them in a bottle; is because you are His. You are God’s child. (I trust you are, because this is only appropriate counsel if you are. If you are not sure, reply back to me.)
God is attentive to the prayers and tears of His people. There have been times when I am sound asleep at night and something will wake me. It is a small sound that I can barely hear, but as I get up, it gets louder and louder. It is the cry of one of my boys. As a Daddy, (Mothers are always best at this) something just alerts you to the cry of your children. Whether it's for a bad dream or a fever going up, children often need the comfort of a parent.
Dear friend, you and I are no different. Thankfully the Father who hears our prayers, and catches and collects our tears, never slumbers nor sleeps. He is always on the job. No tear ever falls that He does not see; even those we are too proud to shed!
If you are going through a real trial right now, have confidence that your God hears your prayers and sees your tears. He knows you so well and His greatest desire is to see you at peace. He wants good for you and He is working to that end.
If you are a believer, you are on a journey with God and He will never let you down! You can trust Him to not only see your tears, but to store them up in His bottle. I believe it may well be a bottle just for you! We’ll see why tomorrow!
