I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
The Testing Hour
By: Ron Edmondson Saturday, April 03, 1999
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lamasabachthani?"....which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"Mark 15:34 NIV

The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will neverleave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.Deuteronomy 31:8NIV

Two scriptures today, this Friday before Resurrection Sunday! Twoscriptures to prove a point! You and I, the children of God, will neverbe forsaken by our Father God. That's why Jesus went to the cross!

While Jesus breathed His last breath; all of Heaven was on edge. Neverbefore had there been such an occassion. The Son, loved and adored by allthe angels, but especially by the Father, was about to give up HisHeavenly reign.

At the hands of an angry mob, but under the will and direction of theFather, Jesus had been mocked, beaten, bruised, and hung on a cross todie. He had placed upon Him the sin of all the world. In fact, He becamesin! The Bible said the wages of sin is death; and Jesus' death wasunlike any other. He was more dead than any man had ever been; since Hisdeath was the result of all sins, past and present which were evercommitted.

Perhaps worst of all, God the Father; perfectly Holy, as was the Son;must now forsake His only Son. Since God can allow no sin into Hispresence, and since Jesus had become sin, the Father must forsake theSon. God turned His back on Jesus to avoid looking at His sin.

God did forsake His Son, so that He would never have to forsake you andme. Through the shed blood of Jesus, and through His bodily resurrection, you and I, by faith, receive the eternal, permanent commitment of Hislove and provisions. He will never forsake us, because Jesus paid theprice at the cross!

That's good news today! No matter what you are going through; no matterhow tough life seems right now; no matter what your circumstances, if youare a Christian; God will never forsake you!

Jesus took care of that on the cross! Praise Him for it today!
