THE STATE OF THE UNION

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord Psalm 33:12 NIV

By the time you read this the state of the union address will have been delivered (Lord willing), but as I write it, the speech has yet to be heard. Regardless of what our President, or anyone else says in a public address, the real dilemna in our country today is a need to choose God as our Lord!

Now please hear me. This is not an attempt to present to you a political statement. I am not advocating a political party or affilliation. I am not pushing a social agenda. I am simply stating to you what the Bible says: THE NATION IS BLESSED WHO CHOOSES GOD AS LORD!

We must get back to a time in our history when it was okay to read the Bible. In fact, it wasn't just okay, our leaders encouraged it. We must pray for our nation openly, in public, unashamedly. We must take back our lands from those who spit in the face of God.

I know this is usually a light hearted devotional, but friends listen to me very carefully. A nation is in jeopardy of losing the blessings of God unless we, not the president (although him too), not just the leaders, not just the pastors, but we, the children of God, must turn our faces from sin and to God.

I pray we are not too late and I am thankful for a forgiving God. The time is now and has come for the people of God to rise up!

Rise up O men of God! The day of revival is here!
