I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
The REMNANT
By: Ron Edmondson Thursday, February 27, 2003
Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above. 2 Kings 19:30 NIV

Praise God for His remnant! Throughout the Scriptures there is a group of people that I have admired. The members of the group change the same, but the focus of the group remains. They are almost like a club, tightly wound by their huge commitment to the task at hand. These are who the Bible calls the “REMNANT”.

Throughout time, whenever the children of God would rebel, or they would walk contrary to God’s plan for their life, there was always a group who remained faithful to God. In spite of peer pressure, through times of uncertainty, when all they had was their faith, the remnant steadfastly held to God and His truth. God greatly rewards His remnant.

I believe the remnant of God remains today as well. Sure it is now almost popular to be against strong, Christian values. Religion is on the rise, but faithfulness to Jesus Christ is considered almost a heresy. The fact that Jesus and His followers claim that the way to God is through Jesus alone aggravates many who call us intolerant. Still, in spite of increasing obstacles to a committed faith, the remnant remains loyal to Christ.

Why? Because, by faith, we are fully convinced that God is who He says He is, that He will do what He says He will do, and we are determined to act accordingly. My question for you today is this: Are you among the remnant?
