I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
The Reason
By: Ron Edmondson Tuesday, January 06, 1998
This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. Genesis 6:9 NIV

What was the reason God picked Noah to build the ark? Have you ever thought about it? The awesome task was really an honor placed upon this man of God. Not only would he save his family from destruction (and that was pretty neat, I'm sure), but God had placed him in high esteem.

Noah had decided to walk with God. In the beginning, God walked with man on a regular, natural occurrence. Sin seperated man from God, and now, walking with God is a choice we make in life. Noah chose to walk with God!

I was curious about the subject of walking with God, so I went to my handy computer Bible concordance. Walk, in reference to God or man with God, occurs 137 times in the Bible. I would say God is pretty serious about your walk with Him. He obviously was for Noah!

How is your walk with God? Can you feel His presence? Do others notice His reflection in your eyes? What about in your behavior? To walk with God will require you to clean yourself up perhaps. It may make you study your Bible a bit more (He may quiz you along the way). You will obviously have more prayer (conversation) with Him as you walk along together. You might even feel a little pep in your step you haven't felt in a while.

Be like Noah today! Invite God on a little stroll! Choose to walk with God! Guaranteed to straighten your path....without wearing out your shoes....and you can quote me on that!
