I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

The Other Side.

He said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Mk 4:35
The other side is where God desires us to be. In this favorite story of the calming of the storm, Jesus, I suspect, had a deeper meaning than just a control over nature. Jesus is always more concerned about matters of the heart. He was teaching His disciples a lesson in faith, and in position of life.
On the other side there is light, as opposed to darkness; victory over defeat; life replaces death; Heaven versus Hell; peace instead of fear; joy in the place of worry or dispair. God knows that the other side is where we find rest and comfort; where we can be still and know that He is God.
Today, on this another Monday, get in the boat with Jesus. Let us go to the other side, "leaving the crowd behind" (vs. 36). When the storms of life come our way, we will be prepared, because we have been with the Creator. The One who has control over Heaven and Earth will be able to command the winds and rain of life on our behalf with simple words; maybe something like, "Peace, be still.".
You will always be better off on the "other side".
