I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. 1 Peter 3:15a NIV
A lot of people claim to know Christ, but those who are truly His, are those who have chosen in their hearts to make Him Lord!
Lord indicates one of authority. In the truest sense Lord means boss. I think most of us have a pretty good understanding of that word!
Sometimes the word boss has a negative connotation. We think of someone telling us what to do all the time. In today's high pressure society, it is almost a word we choose to dislike.
If you are a child of God, you have chosen Jesus as your boss. You have placed yourself in the servant's position. His will is to be yours. His commands are to be your instructions. You are to wait on Him to plan your life.
Now, if your one of those who sees "boss" as the bad guy, then maybe that is a bit hard for you to accept today. But, dear friend, Jesus is not that kind of boss. Oh, He wants to lead you alright, but where He leads, you will want to follow!
You see, His ways for you are best. What He has in store for you will be life's richest rewards. Where He sends you will be the paths to victory. His commands will bring you great success! As your boss, Jesus will give you a great benefit package, and a retirement package that is literally "out of this world"!
If you are a Christian, you have a new boss! And, believe me, that's good news today!
