I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Keep me as the apple of your eye, hide me in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 17:8 NIV
Everyday, without much exception, I tell my son that I will never leave him nor forsake him. He knows it already, and he often says, "Oh Dad" after I say it, but if I forget, he is the first one to remind me.
I want my boys to know that they are important to me. I want them to sense that they are the apple of my eye. I want them to feel that they can find protection in me; that I will always have their best interest at heart; and that here is one person that will always be on their team.
Folks (can I call you "folks"?), let me tell you that I can't be that person to my boys, unless God is that "person" to me. When I see God as my provider and my source for all my needs, then I can provide that comfort to the ones I love.
When I recognize that I am the apple of my Father's eye, then I can give my children the position in my heart that they deserve. It saddens me to see so many children who are growing up in homes today where there is either no love, or absent and silent love. A generation is losing the security of a close family life, because the world is literally sucking us into its snare. The television is becoming our babysitter, and the schools have assumed the role of chief educator. Gone is the day when the family shaped our society.
Okay, I know I'm preaching now, but friends, we need to get back to a day when our children see our love and commitment to the home. We need to let them be the apple of our eye. We need to shelter them in the shadow of our wings.
We need to take back our family for God! We can only do that when we, ourselves, are in a right relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Dear God, keep us as the apple of your eye! Shelter us under your mighty wings! It is our only hope!

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
