I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Talk about Fear
By: Ron Edmondson Tuesday, February 07, 2006
I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mortal men, the sons of men, who are but grass? Isaiah 51:12 NIV

Fear seems to go hand in hand with life these days. I have watched as fellow businessmen fear the rise and fall of the economy. There is a fear for our young people attending schools where guns are being displayed. We fear the weather as its damaging forces interupt lives. Employees fear their employment as downsizing occurs in the modern workplace. Fear of being alone and suffering is normal as we age.

I do not claim that you do not have good reason for the fear in your life, but what I do point out from the Word of God is that fear need not be your motivator. If you are a Christian you have the power of God working for you!

It amazes me just how little we depend on God for the everyday, routine tasks of life. Instead of trusting in Him, we tackle our own problems, which only leads further to our fear of the world. When we limit ourselves to our own strength, we forsake the benefit of having the Creator God as our guide. When we allow Him to take over, we are limiting ourselves to His strength, which of course is limitless.

With God on your side, mortal men, and the circumstances of life, look like mere grass. And, you have never been afraid of grass, have you?

Trust in God today for whatever you face!
