God loves us. He has planned a wonderful life for us, and guess why?
Because He's God!
We need to remember that always! You know, I don't know about you, but sometimes I take that fact for granted. I have been a Christian for a long time. I have seen and felt the presence of God do many wonderful things. I know many verses of scripture, and I have even memorized some of it.
But sometimes I forget that He is God! He is not just another friend. He is not someone I can carelessly and flippantly beckon to do my dirty work. He is not some genie god who fulfills wishes.
He is the Sovereign Lord of the Universe. He is the Rock of Ages. He is the Almighty, All-Powerful, All-Knowing, Holy, Ever-Present God! He is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe.
He demands worship and praise. He deserves humble respect and admiration!
Now, I believe whole-heartedly that you and I can approach the throne of grace with boldness because the Bible says we can. But we should never take that invitation lightly!
No wonder the stars stay in their place and the moon still rotates around the Sun. No wonder the eagle knows its nesting place and the deer can find its food. No wonder the rain falls and the thunder knows its boundaries. No wonder all creation obeys its Creator!
He is God! There is none like Him! Not one!
