Romans 13:14, Part 1

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Romans 13:14 NKJV

We will look at this great verse for three days as we try to discover the Truth God is trying to teach us through His Word.

First, we are to "put on the Lord Jesus Christ". When you became a Christian you received access into the mysteries of God, namely Jesus Christ. You now have the heart of Christ living in you, through the promised Holy Spirit. You can now understand (not yet fully) the mind of God.

That being said, you must "put on the Lord Jesus Chirst". This is a daily process as you meditate on His Word, pray and fellowship with other believers. Jesus lives in you, but you must choose to reflect on the Jesus in you. You must, as we learn in Hebrews, turn your eyes (and your mind) to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Have you "put on the Lord Jesus Christ" today? By faith, pray this prayer. Dear God, help me understand the wonderful truth of your life being within my life and my life being within you. Then help me put on Jesus today in everything I do and everywhere I go.
