I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Psalm 23:3 NIV
The good shepherd cares for the comfort and well being of his sheep. Sheep, being basically a dumb animal (I have to throw that in each day), need the care of a shepherd. Haven't you ever wondered why God would refer to the "lost" sheep? Sheep get lost fairly easily.
A shepherd friend of mine tells of how shepherds, before electric fences and other man-made conveniences, would train their sheep to stay close to them. When sheep are young and likely to wander off, the good shepherd would pick up the sheep and literally break its hind legs. He would then wrap it up tightly to help it grow back naturally. While it healed, the good shepherd would carry the sheep under his arm, putting it down only to sleep, eat or drink. By the time the leg healed, the sheep would be so attached to the good shepherd, they would never wander off again. Now, keep in mind, cruel as this may seem, it would be more harmful for the sheep to get lost.
Jesus Christ is our Good Shepherd! (are you starting to get that point by now?) Jesus will sometimes allow us to be broken, so He can carry us close to His heart, so that when we are healed, we will never wander away again.
Have you experienced brokenness lately? Learn to stay close to the Good Shepherd. It really is the safest place!
Saviour, like a shepherd lead us!

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
