I Am Found In You

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of REFRESHING may come from the Lord, and that He may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you -- even Jesus. Acts 3:19-20
I highlighted the word "refreshing". No, I wasn't adding to scripture. I was simply emphasizing a word. REFRESHING: isn't that a refreshing word? Do you get a good feeling when you say the word?
Imagine with me for a minute. The temperature is 95 degrees, and the humidity at 98%. You have just finished push mowing your 1/2 acre yard, which took you about an hour and a half. You have wiped sweat from your eyes since the moment you stepped outside. You put the lawn mower away, grab a ice cold glass of tea and take a drink. After a couple of swallows you fall casually backwards into your clear, cool swimming pool. Refreshing? (I know, it could almost be a commercial, couldn't it?)
Today, God wants to forgive you of all your unrightousness. He wants to cleanse you from all the guilt of your sin. He wants to restore you to His joy and peace. He wants to satisfy the desires of your heart. He wants to plant deep within your heart the hope of His son Jesus. He wants to cause you to long for Jesus's return. He wants your eyes to look Heavenward, where your eternal home is being prepared; where there will be no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more tears. He wants to bless you abundantly, taking away all your anxieties of life. Refreshing?
Repent, then, before the Lord today! Renew your love for Him! Let Him know of His first place position in your life! Worship Him today!
Refreshing?.....REFRESHING indeed!
