I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Reason Number Two
By: Ron Edmondson Thursday, February 22, 2001
Cast your cares on the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall. Psalm 55:22 NIV

The second reason to cast your cares upon the Lord, according to the Bible, is because when you do, God will take care of you.

I recall an incident several years ago when I was a junior management member of a large retail operation. I was asked to put together a report to be seen by the company's senior management. Shortly after beginning the task I realized I was in over my head. One afternoon, when I was just about to give up, my immediate supervisor walked into my office and agreed to take over the project. What relief! I instantly felt a huge weight removed from my shoulders.

That's what it is like when we cast our cares upon the Lord. He takes over. He initiates the next moves. He replaces our worries with His strength. He takes our faith and molds it into His victory. He sustains us so that we can face the situation knowing that He is fully in control.

Of course, when we cast our cares upon the Lord, He expects us to leave them in His hands. I couldn't have gone back to my boss, after he assumed that special project, and asked for the responsibility again. My boss was in control at that point, and he would also receive the praise for the report. God wants to be in charge of your concerns, to act upon your behalf and for your good, and so that He will get the glory in the victory.

Cast all your cares upon Him, because He cares for you; and because when you do, He will personally take care of you! When you are facing a trial, believe me, that is good news!
