I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; rescue me from deceitful and wicked men. Psalm 43:1 NIV
We have been looking at Psalm 42, discovering how the Psalmist dealt with disappointing times, but Psalm 43, many believe, is a continuation of the same Psalm, so we begin seeking God’s truth through this Psalm today.
Who is pleading your case? Who is defending your name? I haven’t lived as many years as some, but as I approach so-called “middle age”, I have learned that there are few people in life that one can truly trust. People will let us down and disappoint us; even people we thought never would.
Have you learned that there “is a friend who sticks closer than a brother”? There is and His name is Jesus. When He is your defender, you can depend on victory. He becomes your defender when you rest all your cares upon Him.
Let me leave you with a couple of verses of strength. Perhaps you need to tape one to your computer monitor or allow a magnet to hold one to your refrigerator. Allow them to remind you of God’s strength and protection.
Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, 'Destroy him!'
Psalm 121:3-4 He will not let your foot slip–He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
Isaiah 26:3-4 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.
Psalm 112:7 He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
