Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3
This verse is not a license to do whatever you want and say “God, I’m doing this for you” in hopes that He will bless your plans and give you success. You weren’t thinking that…were you?
I’ve heard so many people misuse this verse. This verse needs to be understood in the greater context of the sovereignty of God. God is in control. God’s plans succeed. God has the final word. God decides how a situation will end.
From that perspective, when you commit your plans to God, you’ll find tremendous success; not because your plans were so great, but because you are relying on the plans of God.
