Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 15:22 NIV

I have tried over the last few years to surround myself with people wiser about a subject than me. If it’s a business decision, I want the brightest business minds around. If I’m making a relational decision, I want relationship experts on my side. If it’s a spiritual decision I’m making, I want spiritual giants to help me.

That doesn’t mean I can’t learn from a little child. I have many times, but I know that God uses other people’s experiences to shape my life, and I don’t want to miss something God may have me to know. I can learn from another person’s failures and successes.

Are you listening to the right people? Are you open to correction, rebuke, or instruction? Do you have a teachable heart?
