I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Proverbs 14:27

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death. Proverbs 14:27 NIV

I met with a young man recently who is heading to Iraq for his first tour. He’s barely 18 and ready to serve his country in battle. He admitted to me, however, that he is deeply afraid. I can only imagine that kind of fear.

As understandable as that fear is, the Bible is clear that we can live our lives apart from fear if we have a perfect fear of God. My soldier friend has this fear. He’s confident that God is in control of his life and will ultimately work His will in his life. Though he has earthly fear of man right now, his eternal fears have been resolved.

Have yours? Are you prepared to die? Are you prepared to meet your Creator? If not, why not get prepared today by completely and fully trusting in the person of Jesus Christ? God wants to save you from the snares of death. His plan for safety is His Son’s work on the cross. Trust the finished work of Christ today.

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
