I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

In spite of this, you did not trust in the LORD your God, Who went ahead of you on your journey, in fire by night and in a cloud by day, to search out places for you to camp and to show you the way you should go. Deuteronomy 1:32-33 NIV
When the Israelites reached a camp, God had already picked it out. When they laid their head on a rock at night, God had smoothed the rock for comfort. On the days when the sun was at its hottest, God made the clouds thicker to protect them from the heat. When the night was darkest, God was building an even bigger fire by which to see. God pre-ordained the days of the Israelites.
If you are a Christian, you need to understand an aspect of the sovreignty of God. He is ordering the steps of your life right now!
This is always a difficult subject. People tend to ask, "If God is so sovreign, then do I have any choices to make?" The answer to that question is obviously yes. You can decide today whether or not to be obedient to Christ. You can follow the leading of God as you plan your life, or you can attempt to "do it on your own". As you make choices, at the same time, God is prearranging the final outcome.
While I can't fully explain God's sovreignty, I know it exists according to His Word and the experience of my life. Just as the steps of the Israelites were ordered in advance, so is the general direction of your life. God wants you to be like Jesus, and He will take whatever actions are necessary to meet that goal.
As you go about making "choices" in your life, remember that God's sovreignty will decide your final destiny. And, guess what? God wants good things for you! He desires to bless you and give you victory in the end! And He will!
