And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness. James 3:18 NIV
Here's a challenge for all of us today: This weekend, let's do something good for someone....in the name of Jesus!
Mow a neighbor's lawn; even when yours still needs mowing. Bake your favorite pie; and give it away. Treat your Pastor to lunch. Call an old friend you haven't heard from in a while.
Visit a nursing home...to people you don't even know. Pick up trash on the streets. Plant a flower. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Hug a child.
Let's all try to make a special effort, over the next couple of days, to really be a blessing in someone's life. Tell somebody that Jesus loves them. Donate that extra Bible on your shelf to the hospital.
God's love is being dispersed through His people. We can be Jesus to a lost and dying world just by spreading a little peace. The beauty of it will come as we watch it sprout and grow.
Peace planted, always produces more peace! Let's try it!
