The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the only way for sinful man to reach a Holy God, then you are a child of the one and only Creator God, an heir to the throne of grace, a brother of the Prince of Peace. Of this you should have no doubt!
In my adult Christian life, I have known countless Christians who doubt their salvation. It is a burdensome thing to wonder where you stand with God. The weight of past sins eats away at the joy and peace God intended for His children to have.
This doubt is not from God and it is not what God intended. Guilt is a scheme of the Devil to keep you from fulfilling God's greatest intent for your life and fully conforming to the image of Christ. Be aware if Satan is trying to play this trick on you!
If you have had a genuine experience with the living Christ, if you know that there was a time in your life when you chose Him as the only answer to your plague of sin, or if just right now for the very first time you choose Jesus as your Savior, then the Spirit of God will enter your life and confirm in your heart that your name is eternally written in God's invitation book to Heaven.
You will be welcome when the roll is called up yonder! The Spirit says so!
