I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. 2 Thessalonians 3:2 NIV
My desire is that we would learn, not only to pray, but to enjoy this awesome communion with a Holy God. I contend that we have made prayer seem like such a unbearable task, and like an art that only a few can master, that many of us have shied away from prayer altogether.
Paul tried to keep it simple. Pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. Why? Because not everyone has the same faith that you do.
This world is full of those who would love to tear down or attack your faith. Satan and all his warriors are anxiously awaiting an opportunity to see you fail. We live in a fallen world, so it should come as no surprise to you that this world is full of evil.
Your greatest resource to overcome the world is the power of prayer. By grace, through faith, you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior (at least I hope you did). It is that same grace that allows you to enter into the throne room of God to present your requests. God hears you, not because of anything you were able to do, but because of His mercy and forgiveness.
You receive this access to God, through the blood of Jesus Christ, and by that fact alone. So, you see, if you try to earn your way into God's presence, your attempts will fail. It is when we pray that Heaven responds and God sends forth His blessings of deliverance.
Not everyone has faith, but those who do, my friend, have instant access to the Kingdom of God. God is listening. He never sleeps. He is waiting for you now; ready and willing to take your requests.
You don't need an appointment or an introduction. You are His child and He wants to welcome you home.
Why don't you try it?
