I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
My Hope
By: Ron Edmondson Monday, February 04, 2002
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God Psalm 146:5 NIV

I’m glad my hope is in the Lord! I know people who don’t have this hope. They hope in a “lucky break”. They hope that “all the cards fall into place”. They hope that the “stars look upon them”. They hope in the chance of life to be in their favor.

My hope is in the Lord. When He wanted to create a world, He spoke it into existence. When the Israelites were being chased by the Egyptian army, He parted the Red Sea. When they were thirsty, He caused water to come from a rock, and when they were hungry He rained down manna each morning and quail each night. When thousands of hungry people gathered to hear Jesus, instead of sending them away, as the disciples suggested, Jesus fed them with five small loaves of bread and two fish; leaving twelve basketfuls of leftovers; one for each disciple. And, when they hung my Savior on a old rugged cross, and buried Him in a tomb, He rose again on the third day!

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus and His righteousness! (That would make a good song!) In the times in my life, where I felt that nothing was going right, even times when I couldn’t “feel” God working, I knew I could rely on my God to work all things for good. He is a faithful God! My hope is secure, because He has been proven true every time!

Dear friend, where is your hope today? In a world that so many times seems to be resting upon shifting sand; where it is so hard to determine right from wrong; when it is difficult to tell who to trust; can I recommend One who is worthy of your hope! Can I recommend to you Jesus, the One who was, and is, and is to come! Can I recommend my Savior to you? In uncertain times, He is where I have put my hope! Blessed is He whose hope is in the Lord!

Can I also warn you that if you sit today without the hope of Jesus that you are hopeless indeed! You are doomed to an eternal damnation. You will stay forever separated from a God who loves you and wants to give you life and peace!

Be blessed today, my friend, through the love of Jesus! Be blessed!
