I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Luke 11, Part 4

“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. Luke 11:42 NKJV

Those who say the tithe does not exist in the New Testament have missed this verse. Jesus didn’t do away with the tithe. He just strengthened it. No longer are we to give ten percent…alone…we are to give God everything! He owns it all! The Pharisees thought they were doing so well because they had paid their tithe, but Jesus, who had already looked into their heart, said there was more for them to give.

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said that we should not mistake the “isness” of life for the “oughtness of God”. In other words, we should never believe that taking care of our needs, while paying our “required” gifts to God, is enough. God requires everything. He wants the whole us!

You and I ought to give God everything we have and let Him disperse it for His pleasure. That’s the right return on investment for the perfect sacrifice of Christ.

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
