I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Let's Pray for Each Other
By: Ron Edmondson Monday, January 12, 1998
After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before. Job 42:8 NIV

Prayer works! I don't always know how or understand why, but time and time again, God has proven to me that He does respond to the prayers of His people. God is the One who is fully able to meet our desires, and when we line our desires up with His sovereign will, we see tremendous, often miraculous results. In fact, everything God does is a miracle, because His ways are so much higher than ours.

Job had seen rough days. God, yes God, had allowed the Devil to bring pain and suffering to Job. He lost all his possessions and children, and then was afflicted himself with terrible pain. His friends and even his wife encourage him to curse God. Job remains loyal to God and, when he turns to pray for his friends, a most awesome act of humility, God changes his pain in to triumph, and gives him far more than he ever had before. If you don't know the story: READ IT!

I believe God responds to our prayers, not because He needs our suggestions for improvement in our life, not so that we can gloat about having a great prayer life, but because He wants us to fully recognize the power of the One who hears and answers prayers. God wants the glory!

Now, let me be quick to tell you that I don't believe in a "name it and claim it" theology. There are times, for His own reasons, (usually to advance our Character) God says no to our prayers. I do believe though that we are, most of the time, missing out on the blessings of life because we fail to ask. Didn't Jesus say something like that?

I want to offer you a challenge. Let's pray for each other. You can pray for me by asking God to bless my business. I know that sounds selfish, but I want to glorify Him through my business and so my desire is for it to grow so that we can do more for Him.

And, I will pray for you. (I'd love to hear from you anyway.) Send me a short note to: ron.mustardseed@christweb.com Tell me about yourself, where you live, what you do, etc. Then tell me how I can pray for you. I may share some of these in upcoming thoughts. You do not have to share your name and if you do, I will NOT share it in my thoughts (to protect your privacy).

Let's pray for each other. We WILL SEE RESULTS!

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
