I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Knowing Jesus Better
By: Ron Edmondson Thursday, March 16, 2000
As we know Jesus better, His divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life. He has called us to receive His own glory and goodness! 2 Peter 1:3 NCV

You don't have to do it alone! Isn't that good news!

Living the Christian life is sometimes tough. I have watched closely as a good friend of mine struggles with this issue. All around him, in his work environment, people are being dishonest. If he really wants to get ahead in his industry, it appears as if he will have to join in on the dishonesty. My friend has refused to give into the pressure to conform.

What situations do you face? I watch every week at the members of my little Sunday School class. I am inspired by those couples, who despite the pressures of the world, keep trusting in the Lord. I see the one who has just been diagnosed with cancer and yet praises God for his life. I witness a business set back and yet the couple continues to tithe and even increase their giving to the Lord. I watch an unethical legal situation arise, where my friend is completely innocent, but at the same time I see two people further committing their life to Christ.

It amazes me that in the midst of the trials of life, people learn more than ever to live by faith in Christ. Those who fully believe in the Bread of Life, seem to find the substance for living in the glorious Blood of the Lamb. God really has equipped His children with all that we need to help us live in this fallen world!

Dear friend, if you are struggling today, look closer at Jesus! Get to know Him better and His divine power will see you through it!
