I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Kindness to Repentance, Four
but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,"
declares the LORD. Jeremiah 9:24 NIV
It bothers some people for me to talk so much about grace. They think I’m soft on sin. They think I’m saying that we have to tolerate injustice. I’m not. I hate sin. I hate it in my life and in the life of those around me. I wish I could live a holier life. I’m thankful that though nothing good resides in me apart from the grace of God, God still loves me and has a plan for my life.
God is completely just. He is completely righteous. There is no debating the holiness of God. God is so holy, in fact, that everything and everyone is like darkness compared to Him. The wonder and mystery of God, however, is that He is as much love as He is justice. He gives equal grace to His certain wrath. In this season of time God has chosen for His grace to be the dominate reaction to mankind. We are living in the days of grace.
Jesus attracted so many sinners, because He displayed so much grace. The man who was full of “grace and truth” chose to reach people first, not with truth, but with grace. He would always introduce them to truth, but not until He had won them over with His loving kindness.
If the church today wants to reach sinners with truth we may have to first show them some of God’s grace (which really is also His truth). It is the kindness of God that leads to repentance.
