I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
John 14:20, Part 5
By: Ron Edmondson Friday, February 13, 2004
On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. John 14:20 NIV

Perhaps the greatest truth, but yet the least understood, that we have seen this week is this last phrase in this powerful verse: “and I am in you”. If you are a child of God, Jesus lives within you! Dear Christian, that ought to be enough truth to make us shout for joy today and everyday! Jesus lives within me!

“He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives: He lives within my heart.” (Copyright 1933 by Homer A. Rodeheaver)

Jesus lives within the spirit of a Christian. No longer is the believer condemned. The believer has been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. The believer has become the righteousness of God. (2 Cor 5:21) The believer has Christ “in you, the hope of glory”. (Col 1:27) The marvelous truth for the believer is that he doesn’t face life alone! The believer can rest within the arms of God, because Christ is in the believer!

Can you stretch your mind back with me for just a moment as we tie all this verse in together. On that day...the day Jesus rose from the dead...He went back to be with the Father. He was once again in God, no longer separated by the Cross. On that day that your received Jesus, you became in Jesus. You were positioned within the spiritual body of Christ. Wherever He went, you went. Finally, Jesus also came to dwell within you, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus lives inside of you! That makes you, the child of God, also in the Father. Jesus is eternal and God is eternal, and praise God, you are eternal in Jesus, who is in God! You will never die!

You are nestled in God, safe and secure, because of your faith in Jesus Christ. That also means that nothing can come into my life that doesn’t go through God and Jesus, because we are joined by the Spirit of God.

I realize this has been a very deep series, but if you and I can understand these truths and live by them, they will powerfully impact our daily life. We can face tomorrow in peace because He lives, and because He lives in us and we live in Him!

Now, please allow me the privilege of saying HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to my darling, God-given wife. I love you sweetheart! Thanks for your ministry to me through Christ! You grow more beautiful everyday, both inside and outside! God blessed me when He chose you for me!
