I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Jeremiah's Story, PT 5
By: Ron Edmondson Friday, February 02, 2007

"Ah, Sovereign Lord," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child." But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord. Jeremiah 1:6-8 NIV

This is what is going to happen. I know this, because it is what happens in my life and the hundreds of people I have an opportunity to minister to each year. As soon as you are very clear what God wants you to do, the excuse machine is going to rev its engine. You’ll have a hundred reasons why you can’t do what you already know God wants you to do.

How do you combat the dreaded fear battle? You recognize that they are lies from the Devil and battle them (as Jesus did) with truth.

You remember that God knew you before you were even born. You remember that He loves you more than you’ll ever know. You recall that He made you unique from any other. You remind yourself that God has a specific plan and purpose for your life. When any other thought creeps into your mind, you go back and repeat the process again.

You and I must continually live in truth. It’s the only way we will ever be all God wants us to be. The ones, who achieve great things for God, like the prophet Jeremiah, are the ones who refuse to look at their own shortcomings and look instead to the sufficiency of Christ.

How great are you? As great as God wants to display Himself through you!
