I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
It's Good to Go Home
By: Ron Edmondson Friday, August 08, 1997
Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man who strays from his home. Proverbs 27:8

We just returned from vacation last night. As I was tucking in my six year old, he said, "Daddy, it is good to be home." He was right!

I love to travel. I love exploring new places. If I have never been there, I am probably interested in going. I have also traveled with my work quite extensively. One thing I can testify to is that it is always great to go home.

No bed rests like your own. No shower gives you just the right clean feeling as the one at home. They never arrange the furniture just right away from home. The sun seems to rise too early or too late, or on the wrong side of the bed. There is no place like home!

As a child of God, we too are going home one day! This world is not our home! (Praise God!) Our home is being prepared for us now! Our mansion in Heaven is waiting for us!

We will find eternal rest when we go HOME! We won't be faced with all the difficulties, the tragedies, the sickness, the worries, the pain of this world-when we go HOME. We will bask in the Glory of our God and Father. He will tuck us in each night with His strong, tender, loving hands. The same hands that fashioned the Earth; that formed the shape of each animal; each wave of the ocean; each grain of sand in the desert; strong enough to raise up a mountain; and gentle enough to put wings on a butterfly; will be the same hands that care for us!

Can you fathom the awesomeness of knowing that God is waiting; Jesus is waiting; the angels are waiting for you and I to finally come home? What a great reunion we will have! What joy! What completion! What rest!

It will be great to go HOME!

Are you ready?
