I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
In This Way...
By: Ron Edmondson Tuesday, May 26, 1998
In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. 1 Timothy 6:19 NIV

By giving, by serving, by loving, by caring, by being Christians, real Christians, we send up building blocks to Heaven. Think about it, we are constructing our mansions in eternity through the love of Christ that we share here on earth! The bricks of concern, the shingles of tithing, the plaster of teaching, the paint of witnessing, the nails of perseverance, the floors of faith! You are building your dream home right now!

Our life in Heaven will reap the rewards we sowed here on Earth! When you visit a shut-in, there goes another window pane. When you pray for a missionary, there goes some more tile. When you teach a child to love, there goes some shrubery. Turn the other cheek and there goes some decorative crown moulding. Don't lose your temper at the guy who pulls out in front of you and send up some fancy recessed lighting. (By now you get the idea, so add your own here.)

We are investing for the future when we serve the Lord!

How is the construction going? Do you need to send up another load of bricks?
