I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt." Exodus 32:4 NIV
Oh yea! Was it really?
Moses had gone to the mountain of God to receive God’s law for the people. In the middle of this glorious occasion, the people rebel against God and fashion a calf, calling it a god.” They give this representation of God credit for bringing them out of Egypt. This lifeless man-made structure was given credit for the miracle of parting the sea, providing manna and quail, and bringing water from a rock. If it were that simple, we’d all be making bronze calves!
Don’t we sometimes make substitutes in our life for the Real Thing? When we trust in our bank accounts, or the doctors report, or our marriage or lack thereof, instead of trusting in the One who Fathers the rain, we are creating idols. We are giving something equal status with God. God will not share His attention with another, so we are in essence allowing God’s hand to be removed from that area of our life.
As we continue to look at idols, will you be examining your life to see if there are any in your life? God wants us to love Him with all our heart. He wants to bless us as we put Him first in every area of our life.
Lord, help us to remove the idols from our life and seek only You!

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
