I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you home. Zephaniah 3:20a NIV

Home: What do you think of when you hear that word?

I'm not sure what mental image you get when you hear the word home. Unfortunately there are so many people today who come from "homes" that are anything but lovely. An abusive parent; a broken marriage; fighting and strife are the pictures many receive when they think of the word home.

Dear friend, this is not the image God wants you to have of home. God is one day going to bring all of His children HOME!

Home is a place where there is no more tears and no more pain. Home is a place where we will finally enter that eternal rest. Home is a place where Jesus reigns. Home is a place where you and I will be at peace!

Thankfully, for many of us, home still conjurs up a mental image of Mom in the kitchen; of being able to kick your shoes off, freedom to raid the refridgerator; and of a peaceful place to take a good, long nap on a Sunday afternoon. Home for me is the comfort of knowing I am where I am accepted just as I am.

Hold that thought....and look forward to the day when Jesus is released to bring us home!

We are going home! Home is a great place!
