And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.
Isaiah 35:8 NIV
There is a highway that leads to Heaven! Now, I know I'm a man and men are never supposed to need directions, but here is one trip you don't want to miss! You need to find the highway that leads to Heaven!
You already know that God is perfectly Holy, but did you know He expects us to be as well? “Oh no,” you're thinking, “there goes my chance.” But before you trade in your ticket, let me explain.
God is perfectly Holy and He will not allow sin to enter into Heaven, but God has provided a way for you and me to be Holy. God, by His grace, has a plan to conform us into the image of His son Jesus, who, like His Father, is also Holy.
God's plan is for us to accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, the only way for a sinful man to reach a Holy God. Then, by further growing in our salvation, God will prepare our hearts to live in Heaven. Then, one day, Jesus will return to gather up His brothers and sisters, and we will share in God's glory with Jesus! Then we will be Holy, just as He who called us is Holy!
But you should also know that today, yes today, you can be Holy. By setting your heart on things above, by persevering under trials, by keeping the faith, by loving God with all your heart, mind and soul, you can be Holy, if not in actions, then in the attitude of your heart. And God can be pleased with your progress!
There is a highway that leads to Heaven! Get on board the train that's bound for Gloryland! It's a great ride!
