I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Holiness, Part 10
By: Ron Edmondson Friday, January 14, 2005
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Doing this, you will never stumble or fall away. And God will open wide the gates of heaven for you to enter into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:10-11 NLT

There is no debating this point. A Christian has been called to grow as a Christian. If someone tells you they are a Christian, there is no fruit in their life to prove it, and there is no inner conviction about the sin in their life, I would have to question the sincerity of their decision for Christ. I certainly would never doubt a person’s salvation testimony, but the truth speaks louder in actions than in words.

The Christian is called to grow. We are saved by grace, but we are called to good works. (Ephesians 2:10) God saves us to change us. He doesn’t intend to leave a Christian as He finds them. God is in the transformation business.

If you are a Christian, I encourage you to examine your life. Are you growing as a Christian? Are you more holy today than you were last year this time? Are you striving to be more like Christ? Do you genuinely want to walk in righteousness? Does your life set an example for others to follow? If not, do you want it to?

These are important questions for the Christian to use to evaluate their individual growth. Jesus said we would be known by our fruits. What does your fruit look like?
