I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Only hold on to what you have until I come. Revelation 2:25 NIV
Jesus was addressing the church at Thyatira. Many in the church had allowed false teaching to enter into their worship. They had diluted the Truth for lies of the devil. Yet, even among this church, there were a few who remained faithful. And, Jesus tells them to "Hold on"!
That is still Jesus' advice for the church today. Oh, I know life is difficult. As a Sunday School teacher, there is never a Sunday that I don't hear about a new trial in the life of someone in our class. For that matter, if they aren't sharing, I'll share some of my own.
Life is full of strife. The world tries its best sometimes to get us down; to cause us to lose our joy. The stress and pressures in society today have led to a rise in suicides and depression. More is spent today on psychiatric care than ever before.
Jesus understands our pain. He knows the difficulties we face in life. He knows the temptations of life are great. But, His best advice for us is sometimes just to "Hold on".
Hold on to your faith in Him who controls the wind and the sea. Hold on to the Truth found in the Word of God. Hold on to the promises that He is who He claims to be and will do what He says He will do. Hold on to the future He has for you; a future of hope and joy which will last for all eternity.
Hold on to Christ today as you persevere through life. HOLD ON, dear Christian, HOLD ON!
