I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

From birth I was cast upon you, from my mother's womb you have been my God. Psalm 22:10 NIV
I proud of a Christian heritage! Amen?
I know so many people that don't have that to be thankful for. I know Christians who never heard the word of God until they were late in life. I know people that to them, the name of Jesus was just a cuss word. I have heard people say that they thought only the real hypocrites went to church. (I will admit, there are plenty among us. In fact, as a sinner saved by grace, I'm one many times!)
I have to be proud. I don't know what it is like to NOT know God. Oh, it took me a while to accept Jesus, and I still have plenty more learning to do about God, but there has never been a time in my life, or in the life of my family ancestors, where I can say God was not a part.
On my mother's and my father's side of the family, God has been recognized. Praise God for that.
Now, I know that doesn't make me, or any member of my family, any more saved than someone who never heard of God until they reached their aged death bed. There are no bragging rights to length of time in salvation.
The person who is a Christian for one second or three months is just as saved as the person who has known the Lord for fifty years.
But, it is something to be thankful for when you were raised in a Christian home. If you were, thank God for that today! If you weren't, make sure the generations who fall in your line will never be able to say the same!
