I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Moses and Aaron were among His priests, Samuel was among those who called on His name; they called on the Lord and He answered them. Psalm 99:6 NIV
It worked for them. It will work for you.
There was nothing spectacular about these men. Oh, they were Godly men, but they weren't perfect. They had many flaws and had messed up a time or two. So what is so special about Moses, Aaron and Samuel? Well, they called upon the Lord.........and better yet.....the Lord answered them!
It is one thing to call upon someone, and still another for them to answer. With a six and nine year old in our house, it is not unusual to have to repeat things. "Time to get up!" "Take your dirty clothes to the laundry room." "You need to get in the shower now." "No, we cannot go skating today." These are just a few examples of statements where once never seems to be enough. (My wife would interject here that the boys take after me.)
Often we call on the boys and get no response. "Didn't you hear me? or Are you listening?" is a usual come back to the silence.
These three men of the Bible got a response. They had called upon the Creator God....and He answered. He wasn't silent, unapproachable, or aloof. He was ready to hear, and ready to respond.
This is the part where I insert the good news of the day, so don't miss it: THAT SAME GOD IS AVAILABLE TO YOU RIGHT NOW! He will answer you if you will call on Him!
Let me ask you: Could you get in today to see your Mayor......your Governor......what about the President of the United States? Folks, the God Almighty, El Shaddai, will not only hear your request, but will give you an answer. You don't need an appointment and you don't have to work into His schedule. He will see you on the spot, day or night. No operator or voice mail to work through. No, "I'm sorry all our operators are assisting other callers, but we will be with you as soon as possible. All calls will be answered in the order they were received."
You don't have to clean up, wear a suit and tie, or bake a cake. Just come as you are. He is willing to accept you.....dirt and all.
He listens and He answers. That is not just an Old Testament truth, because God never changes. So start calling.....He's listening........and He's ready to answer.........
......on the first ring!
