Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?" 2 Chronicles 1:10 NIV
Solomon, the wisest man of all times, recognized the awesomeness of the role he was to play in being king of the Israelites. Every leadership position involves stress, but Solomon was to lead God’s people. Perhaps his wisest decision was admitting he needed help.
Are you able to confess that you don’t have all the answers? Pride keeps some people from allowing others to help them. A lot of men I know would never admit to a weakness. “Never let them see you sweat” is a modern day slogan adopted by many.
Part of life-long learning is recognizing the need to continue learning. When someone reaches a point of thinking they have life figured out they will cease to be open to new insights. The sensors will shut down.
Ask God today if there is something new He has for you to learn through His Word and prayer. And be open to what He may teach you from the people and circumstances He sends your way.
