I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Grain Harvest
By: Ron Edmondson Thursday, April 24, 2008
When Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt, he said to his sons, "Why do you just keep looking at each other?" He continued, "I have heard that there is grain in Egypt. God down there and buy some or us, so that we may live and not die." Genesis 42:1-2 NIV

Who would have imagined that the pagan, Godless nation of Egypt would be the saving grace to the tribe of Jacob. The lineage of Jesus was protected by the what to the world may have seemed to be a fluke. To God it was simply His perfect plan being fulfilled.

The famine was severe. The Israelites, although the chosen people of God, were suffering just as the rest of the world. God provided grain in Egypt, by placing Jacob's sold son into a position of authority. What a mighty God we serve!

Dear Christian friend; dear faithful one; fellow struggler along the paths of life; have no fear! Let nothing moving you! Stand firm in the grace of the Lord! Whatever you are going through today, rest assured, within the Sovereign will of God, there is grain for you in Egypt, wherever God chooses for your Egypt to be!

He might part a sea, or send a rainbow, or spread out His angels, or simply send a miracle in your direction, but He will come through! It may not be as soon as you would like or in the way you would have predicted (it almost never is), but the promise of a coming victory is yours for the child of God.

There is grain in Egypt! Just wait for the Lord to provide!
