I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

At the end of four years, Absalom said to the king, "Let me go to Hebron and fulfill a vow I made to the Lord." 2 Samuel 15:7 NIV
Well, four years have passed. Isn't it time to renew your vows?
By my calendar it is February 29; a date that only happens every four years. I thought today's verse was quite appropriate.
What would your life be like if you only communicated with God every four years? What about once a year? Once a month? Once a week? Do you think you would have real success in your Christian life if you only occassionally called out the the Lord?
I don't know about you, but in my marriage, I have to constantly remind my wife that I love her. Oh, I can assume that as long as I keep coming to the same house and sleep in the same bed each night; and if I give her the every now and then peck on the check, that she should know I love her, right? I mean, after all, I married her once and said I do, if I changed my mind I'd tell her, right? Wrong! You and I both know how good a marriage we would have if that was my approach.
Why should my relationship with Christ, which is to be my highest love, be any different? In order for me to have a close, intimate, growing fellowship with my Heavenly Father, I must cultivate it each and every day. I must consistently call out to my Lord in prayer, and fill myself with His Word a little everyday.
Being a dedicated Christian is not a leap year process! If it's been four years, renew your vows today!
